Room 27: GYM—PROJECT ROOM Presentation by Fires, Sydney

There Will Be Consequences brings together five Australian artists to the gym as site of personal transformation: where individuals work alongside each other yet still alone, engaging with technologies to perform certain actions with the intention of effecting metamorphosis.

Through the creation of new work, the Project Room artists will extend upon existing conversations surrounding the concept of change as the evidence of labour and the dissonance between self-perception and being, change and meaning.

Participating Artists: Uri Auerbach (Director), Kate Beckingham, Nicholas Dorey, Kate Meakin, Conor O’Shea
