In Bloom, curated by Madé Spencer-Castle and Jeremy Eaton
In Bloom will be a Baroque installation of floral themed artworks and bespoke flower arrangements created by Cecilia Fox, creating a sumptuous and excessive display that considers contemporary approaches to the genre of still life and everything floral in art. In Bloom plays cheekily on the metaphor of the ‘blossoming’ emerging artist, SPRING1883 and the décor of the Windsor Hotel. Arranging early career and established artists together within the same bouquet, In Bloom engages with one of the most ubiquitous symbols that permeates art, design, architecture and daily life—the flower; to consider its various contemporary (in)carnations.
Third Drawer Down – Room 107 [Prince Albert Suite]

Third Drawer Down’s SPRING1883 experience has been carefully curated to showcase a special selection of artful goods from local and international artists including David Shrigley, Louise Bourgeois, Guerrilla Girls, Yayoi Kusama, Reg Mombassa, Margaret Preston and one very special inflatable collaboration with Cindy Sherman.
